Clear Vision helps put $53 million back into health care

Woodland Hills, CA - March 18, 2008 Clear Vision Information Systems (CVIS), a provider of innovative solutions for Medicare Advantage health plans, today announced first year results from approximately 50,000 members using the innovative software tool, RevenueMax..

CVIS has completed an analysis of the progress of users who have applied RevenueMax for the past 14 months. (January 2007- February 2008.) Upon analysis of PY 2007, total risk score improved by an average increase of 12.6%. This improvement was based upon use of RevenueMax to pinpoint data for work that was already performed.

For payment year 2008, based on 2007 dates of service, CVIS has already identified that average July 2008 risk scores have increased another 12.9%. RevenueMax users gain insight to be proactive and to ensure that no data is left behind.

In all, for the 14 month period, providers increased HCC scores by overall by .114. At a payment rate of $900 for 2008, RevenueMax users produced a reimbursement increase of $102.41 PMPM, and a total gain by members of over $53 million.

“The challenges that our newest users face are no different from those in this sizable pilot,” said Tom Peterson, President of CVIS. “Your average change will be very significant, if you work witih RevenueMax on a consistent basis, filling in gaps.”

“If you begin using RevenueMax now and start scheduling people for 2008 visits for 2009 payment, you can expect to achieve the same level of results,” Mr. Peterson added. “The effect on revenue should be about $55 per member per month.”
